Yesterday sucked. Too bad the first bad day of work came in on the third day.
Still had not eaten anything more substantial that a donut or two for a day or two. Figured I'd be fine. Only four and a half hours.
Show up and looked for mike. mike said go to a 'liz.' find her. tells me i need shoes. (yes I know, I'm broke though) so I go talk to erica, yeah need shoes. Have to wait for payday. Okay now that that is taken care of, where do I work? I've done fries and grill. Grill? Okay, why not.
Later liz came by and told me to put my hair up. bleh. I went back in the back and figured out the best method for doing so. What's with her? She's the only one so far who has given a RA about anything. James is all laid back and mike just doesnt care. ah well. gotta give up freedom to get that green paper.
I do not like working grill. It's hot. It's stupid. I make mushrooms, bacon and quarter, all on one grill and guess what happens if they are all needed at the same time? I have to guess when something is needed and how much will be needed. And I keep burning myself, and the heat from the grill makes it worse. (can I go back to washing dishes? ha)
Didn't help that it was f*ckin busy. Was ridiculous. Never had a break. Always making stuff. Be it burger, quarter, angus, chicken, mushrooms or bacon. Went through three boxes of hamburger. There were two trays of cooked bacon in reserve. Went through both. And then some.
I showed up at 5. Around 7 I was tired. At 8 I wanted food. I'd stare off into space, and felt like falling over.
They have a liquid butter in a squirt bottle. I want.
They turned off the grill for chicken. So I had to cook them on the burger grill. poo. At 9:30 I talked to liz. They were kinda understaffed, asked if I could stay til 10.
No prob. Worked a bit more in a better mood, probably because I was close to done. Finished, got a free meal. Soda was definitely not a good choice, but dammit it was free.
Still need to check on that, if drinks are free.
I got to eat, and now there is food in my house. Go in today at 6.
